Ok, so I wasn't able to start blogging on the first. I had some exciting events happening in country and had to attend to them. Alright, so they weren't really that exciting, but I was flying around in a Blackhawk helicopter. That is fun times.
It appears as though some of the troops out here aren't properly trained on their equipment. Kinda scary when you think about it being "real world" out here as opposed to a training scenario. So most of my time is spent babysitting a link that works, while the rest is spent trying to talk to these guys on the phone and understand what exactly they know about SatCom. The good news is where I'm at, the guys know their stuff...and it's a central location for flying to the other sites.
I didn't want my first blog to be about stupid crap, but it appears as though it has been. This is supposed to be, and eventually will be, a blog about randomness and fun stories. I have a vivid imagination and my writings show that, but not this time... this has been more of an explanation blog. Telling you where I'm coming from at work here in Iraq.
So stay tuned, I promise the stories will get better and you will enjoy them...
